Pianist Annie Lewandowski and cellist/vocalist Theresa Wong present music at the collision point of song forms and free improvisation. With deep interests in song making (Lewandowski'sPowerdove and Wong's The Unlearning), their duo slips into an ever-morphing world of concrete and transient forms, where lyrical song structures disintegrate and recrystallize in a floating body of improvised sounds. They have performed in collaboration with Fred Frith, Ellen Fullman, Luciano Chessa and CAGE (Cornell Avante-Garde Ensemble), sharing their music at the International Society of Improvised Music Conference (Wayne NJ), Cornell University, Berkeley Arts Festival, and in New York City at the Greenwich House, Spectrum and The Stone.
Show starts at 9pm
