Eve Marie Shahoian

The time has passed since National and International Singer Eve Marie Shahoian could be described as a Vocal Prodigy. Endowed with a voice of great beauty, power and range Eve Marie has been hailed as having the same appeal as Celine Dion, song writer Sarah McLaughlin, and pop crossover artist Josh Groban.

A Native of Northern California and classically trained professional singer since her youth, Eve Marie Shahoian has performed in multiple venues Nationally and Internationally. Notable performances throughout the years have included appearances on The Tonight Show, The Mike Douglas Show, Just Kidding, San Francisco Press Club, French Club, Las Vegas Circle Star Theatre, and guest features on KGO, KPIX, KRON, KTVU, KEMO. Ms. Shahoian had the great honor of performing as a soloist with the Oakland Symphony under the baton of the late Calvin Simmons, and the great Maestro Maxim Shostakovich.

International appearances have included workas a soloist with the Blackhawk Chorus in London at the historical Banqueting House in Whitehall, and as a soloist in Lucca Italy. Throughout the Bay Area, local performances have included engagements at the Regional Center of Performing Arts, The Bankhead Theatre at the Livermore Performing Arts Center, and the Paramount Theatre with the Oakland Ballet and Oakland Youth Orchestra under conductor Michael Morgan.

In 2009, Eve Marie Shahoian released her debut CD " Waiting for You" which showcased her abilities as a contemporary singer-songwriter. Following the release were sold out shows at the Rrazz Room, appearances in Bay Area Theaters, jazz clubs and interviews/appearances on local TV. Eve Marie's music played on radio stations throughout the country, and she was a featured artist in 2011 for Delta Airlines where her album music was heard on all audio equipped flights World Wide. In 2011 Billboard acknowledged "Waiting For You" giving the song "Honorable Mention" for an outstanding original song. Eve Marie Shahoian's next CD is due to be released in Fall of 2016. It will feature her newly written original music and a remix of "Waiting For You" with many talented musicians including Mike Williams, Dan Zemelman, and featuring Two Time Grammy Award winning Composer and Violinist Mads Tolling.The CD will be available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon.

Marc Levine

Marc Levine is a bassist, session musician, and bass teacher in the San Francisco Bay area. At just the young age of 17, Marc Levine toured with his first band called Stonybrook People. The band was noticed and signed by Columbia Records, and before disbanding, Stoneybrook People released two singles. Without a band, Marc began working as a freelance musician where he soon spent his time doing work both in studio sessions and on various tours.

As a session bassist, Marc's first gold record was with Johnny Rivers where he played on the song "Slow Dancin', Swayin' To The Music." Marc also worked with other artists (both in the studio and live) such as Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, Melissa Manchester, Olivia Newton-John, Michael Damien, Burt Bacharach, Kid Creole, and David Hasselhoff. Additionally, Marc also played on sessions for Steve Perry and Jonathan Cain (of Journey), and with Jimmy Crespo, a guitarist for Aerosmith at the time.

For 3 years, Marc appeared on daytime drama TV on "The Young and the Restless," and he also did a short appearance on "General Hospital." Marc has also appeared in movies such as Neil Simon's "Chapter II," and in "American Pop," an animated film which featured him as a cartoon character with his own voice.

During his time touring with Barry Manilow for nine years, Marc started his own jazz group called "Uncle Festive," a group with whom he released five albums while playing jazz clubs and festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan.

Marc now lives in the San Francisco Bay area where he continues to enjoy both teaching bass and playing live and in the studio.
 

Mike Williams

Mike Williams earned his Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts from Cal State University Hayward. Along with his teaching, he continues to perform professionally, both in the United States and internationally, at Jazz Festivals, concerts, clubs, and private events.

Mike began teaching private lessons in 1971. Under his instruction, students have won numerous prestigious music scholarships including the University of California Los Angeles, the New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Southern California

Several students are enjoying careers as prominent touring and recording artists including members of Counting Crows (Universal Records), Destiny’s Child’s band (Sony Records), Aaron Carter’s band (Jive Records), Divit(Nitro Records), Pseudopod (Geffen Records), The Calling (BMG), Liz Phair ‘s band (Capitol Records) JoshGroban’s band (Warner Brothers), Switchfoot (Columbia Records) Kenny G ‘s band (Arista Records), Hoobastank (Island Records), Mini Pop, Jem (ATA Records), and Michael Buble’s band.

Mike teaches Music Theory, Music Literature, Popular Musics in American Culture and Guitar at Los Medanos College and is adjunct faculty at St Mary’s College in Moraga. In addition to his duties as an instructor, Mike serves as an adjudicator and clinician at various Bay Area high school and college Jazz Festivals. During the summer, Mike serves as Director for the Soundwall Music Camps (www.rockcamp.org) held on the UCSC campus.

In 1995 Mike wrote an advanced instructional book for Warner Brothers publications titled Lessons with the Greats. This text contains in-depth style analysis of and interviews with noted guitarists John Abercrombie, Mike Stern, Frank Gambale, Kevin Eubanks, Scott Henderson and Steve Lukather.
