In 2005, the band Pa’Sumecha formed; a project in which “El Godo” could use his personal playing style to merge modern ideas with the ancestral magic of Son Jarocho.  Pa’Sumecha recorded their debut album at The Shelter Studios in Los Angeles, CA. In 2007, he joined the Ensamble de Celso Duarte, an Uruguayan-Mexican harpist virtuoso known internationally for being a member of Lila Downs’ band. Since 2012, he has been on the team at UABC RADIO as a musician, producer and special events coordinator at La Universidad Autónoma in Baja California.

He currently teaches jarana and zapateado workshops, and has consistent work in making Son Jarocho instruments in Mexicali, BC.
