Jonah Udall’s SHIFT is a sonic investigation of the process of evolution. Part-way between Steve Reich and Cecil Taylor, SHIFT creates spontaneous compositions with the economy of Minimalism and a personality all its own.

"Avant Dub Instrumentale" ensemble Joseph's Bones is to King Tubby as Helmut Lachenmann is to musique concrète. Bringing the electronic sound-transformation processes of Jamaican dub to an acoustic setting, Joseph's Bones pulls the thread between visceral groove and timbral abstract suspension.
